About Relay Living

RelayFoods.com, which began in 2008 as a humble start-up in founder Zach Buckner’s dining room, now brings the freshest foods from over 100 local farms, shops, and stores to residents of Charlottesville and Richmond, VA, DC metro, Baltimore, and Philadelphia. According to Forbes Magazine‘s blog, we’re helping to make our hometown of Charlottesville the “locavore capital of the world.”

The vision behind Relay? Upend typical assumptions about buying local food — too expensive, too inconvenient, too confusing — by harnessing the power of the Internet. Make the freshest local produce and a roll of paper towels available in one convenient stop. Use distribution efficiencies to give more cents out of every dollar back to the local producer.

Relay Living chronicles our company from an insider’s perspective, helping you to get to know our vendors and our employees a little bit better.

  • 20-minute meals help you think of last minute meal ideas, made delicious by using the freshest ingredients.
  • Meet Our Vendors help you to “shake the hand that feeds you.”
  • Weekend Tidbits keep you up-to-date on food news, delicious recipes, and other tasty bits from around the web.
  • Be on the lookout for other posts featuring Relay news, tips, and events!

  1. Meg Gomez

    Hello,

My name is Meg Gomez and I am a proud representative of CulinaryPrograms.net. My team here at CulinaryPrograms.net has just published a great list on our site titled 100 Magnificent Sites for Chefs. To view the list follow the link provided: http://culinaryprograms.net/sites-for-chefs/

The mission of CulinaryPrograms.net is to help better assist both current and aspiring chefs with the knowledge and resources they need to make it in the field. This is why my team created the list 100 Magnificent Sites for Chefs. We hope that by visiting the sites on our list chefs will be inspired to become more motivated and driven to push the boundaries of culinary arts. Also, we hope it may serve as a reference so that all the great sites out there are in one place.

We are so excited about compiling our list and we really want to broaden the audience beyond our site’s readership. To that end, it would be excellent if you could share it with your sites readers. If you feel that this would be a great resource for your site please let me know what you think. Also, if you believe that there is a site that merits inclusion let me know.

    Regards,

    Meg
