NoBull Burger: Vendor Spotlight + Giveaway

Given that it’s Meatless Monday, we thought it would be appropriate to introduce you to one of our veg-friendly local artisans, NoBull Burger. When it comes to vegetarian options, the ladies of NoBull Burger reign supreme. Chrissanne Raymond, a former caterer, launched NoBull Burger with her two daughters to bring their secret family veggie burger to the masses.

Packed with protein from lentils, vitamins from healthy vegetables, and free from the additives that often linger in other freezer-aisle vegetarian options, the NoBull Burger is a sensation with everyone who takes a taste. Read on to learn more about how the company came to be and find out how you can get a taste of these burgers at a discount!

How and when did NoBull Burger come to be?

NoBull Burger originated many years ago, when as a chef and caterer, I was looking for a better veggie burger that tasted yummy (and was good for you, too!). NoBull Burger became a big hit with family, friends and clients. Over the years many folks craved these burgers compelling me and my two daughters, Heather and Elizabeth, to set up shop in Charlottesville,VA where Oh My Gosh…Yum!, home of the revolutionary NoBull Burger was born.

What exactly is a NoBull Burger? What flavors do you offer and what’s included in the recipe?

NoBull Burger is the ONLY gourmet veggie burger. The original NoBull Burger starts with organic lentils and barley. We then add chunks of organic carrots, spinach, onions, spelt, free range eggs and wheat free tamari sauce. Each burger is handmade and pan seared in 100% canola oil. We currently offer our original Gourmet Veggie Burger and a Savory Mushroom & Roasted Garlic Veggie Burger.

What makes NoBull Burger different than other veggie burgers out there?

For one, the TASTE. They don’t taste like the box they came in! They are delicious, savory and full of flavor! To add icing to the cake, the nutritional facts will surely impress you. High protein, low calorie and SUPER easy to prepare. I mean, c’mon, could it get any better?

What’s your favorite way to enjoy a NoBull Burger?

Our favorite way to have NoBull Burger is pan seared with some melted extra sharp white cheddar, avocado, sprouts, tomato, red onion, ketchup, dijon mustard on a hearty whole grain bread! Now, I’m drooling…

My favorite way to enjoy a veggie burger is southern-inspired: barbecue sauce, cheddar, pickles(!), lettuce & tomatoes on a toasted bun…and sometimes a piece of bacon or two ;-)

I like plain…they’re just really good! I’ve only had the mushroom flavor but I’m sure the other one is just as tasty!

I love them on a lightly toasted Ezekiel/Food of Life sprouted grain muffin with a big slice of avocado and a tender leaf of kale (or lettuce).

My favorite way to have a burger is to open the fridge and go to town! Warmed in bbq sauce, and served with beer- sauteed onions and mushrooms, spinach, a tomato, a fried egg on top is an awesome combination my boyfriend and I came up with one night & now I crave! There really is no wrong way to eat a burger!
